crystal bowls!!

I am the proud owner of 3 magical crystal singing bowls!! My friend Lily just dropped them off. Once my house is empty of nephews I'll be playing away. :) At least 2 will be at my office in April, if not all 3.

Amethyst BioMat

Just a quick note that we'll have the Amethyst BioMat with us at the Body Mind Spirit Expo this weekend!! Its 30 pounds of Amethyst crystals in a mat with infrared heat (healthy heat rays your body needs!), used for lots of physical issues but also emotional and spiritual growth. Its a great time to experience it ... with so many changes and shifts happening right now the BioMat can really assist in clearing things out you don't need and bumping you up to another level of being.

More info is at http://www.crystallinelight.com/biomat.html

AND I'll be debuting all the Tucson Gem Show goodies. ;)

Million Dollar Experiment

I'm participating in a million dollar experiment! Its from a guy with a blog, and all you need to do is intend this statement each day:

In an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in its own perfect time, for the highest good of all, I intend $1,000,000 to come into my life and into the lives of everyone who holds this intention.

There is a sign-up form on his site, which I did sign just as a declaration to the Universe that I fully intend this, but you don't need to do that to participate. I read about a woman who keeps a daily notebook of what money comes into her life, even if its finding a quarter on the floor (I did at the Mall of America yesterday!) or saving $50 in coupons at the grocery store. I think its a fabulous idea, and I am encouraging all my friends and customers and blog readers to do it too! We ALL deserve money and prosperity NOW, and why not aim for a million (which is also on my new vision board that I made in January, now that I think about it!)? Its POSSIBLE!

Pay It Foward

Thanks to my friend Brenda I heard about Pay It Foward. It sounds pretty simple, the first 3 people who comment on my blog will receive something handmade from me, if they in turn will do the same thing, see the rules below.

Pay it forward rules: I will send a handmade gift (jewelry or mist) to the first 3 people who leave a Comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange (and email me their mailing address), and who make the same pledge on their own blogs. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward meaning you will do the same for three people who comment on your posting on your blog.

Whoo hoo! How fun!

A few updates from my email newsletter:

Stone of the Moment
Each email newsletter (go sign up!) I will include a stone or crystal that is timely to the energies. This month of February it seems to be about staying balanced on a rollercoaster of clearing and "chaotic" energies, as well as opening the heart even more. The perfect stone for both of these is Pink Andean Opal, a sweet light pink stone from the Andes mountains of Peru. Its got very soft, gentle energies that are heart-centered, and it assists with the process of change and transformation! It helps us stay open and positive in our thoughts.

Crystalline Light offers nice chunky pieces of tumbled Pink Andean Opal, as well as NEW sphere's! Click here to see the options! And yes, MORE stones & crystals are coming soon ... see the preview?

Visit me at these upcoming Expo's!

I am exhibiting at the Body Mind SPIRIT Expo! Look for great new features at the event and don't miss the chance to start your year with free lectures and great exhibitor's!

February 23-24, 2008, at the Earle Brown Center, Carriage Hall, 6155 Earle Brown Drive, Brooklyn Center
Sat 10-6, Sun 11-5; $10 admission for the weekend (visit their site to print discount coupons)

New crystals and stones from my Tucson trip will be unveiled, as well as other great gifts! I'll be offering mini-elemental crystal singing bowl healings, Kathleen Benning will be offering chair massage, and we'll have lots of great products and information! (And we'll have COMPLIMENTARY tickets to the Body Mind LIFE Expo the following weekend ... see below.)

I am also exhibiting at the Body Mind LIFE Expo!

updates

I have been so focused on "tasks" of recreating my online shop, redoing marketing materials, doing ads, flyers, etc for the Conscious Kids Expo, pricing new rocks, etc, that I haven't had much time to breathe, let alone blog. But it feels good to be creating something new, as well as an amazing new event that just blows me away each day.

In the few moments I do take to just BE, I feel this amazing undercurrent of breakthrough coming soon, not just for me, for the entire planet. I can't quite explain it, but the next few months on the planet should be interesting and awe-inspiring. There's some heart energy happening right now, lots of clearing on many levels, some deep, some just little things. Its important to remember to stay clear within your own energies and boundaries, to not give your heart away without an equal exchange of energy, as this is draining and not helpful to your lifeforce. Take a few moments to breathe from the center of your heart, expanding its light out to surround yourself, then out to the world, if you feel guided. This time to be within your heart center is regenerating for your spirit.

A group of my friends and I just listened to the last Kryon channeling from January, which has so many good reminders. He talks about duality getting harder to deal with, seeing the split of who's authentic and who's not, about the "faker's" being exposed in the next few years. It was hard to see a few people I know pop into my consciousness as he talked about this, but its okay that not everyone I know or love will be coming on this ride. My head feels very sad about this at times, but my heart knows its okay. Its all good. ;)

Hmmm... not sure what prompted that last paragraph, but someone must need to read it.

Oh and did I tell you I manifested 3 crystal singing bowls?! I've been thinking about them lately, and Kathy and I looked at them in Tucson. My friend Lily magically emailed me last week saying she has 3 to sell, so Kathy is buying one and I am buying 2. Of course the one's she offered are perfect ... crown chakra, third eye chakra, and sacral (creativity!) chakra. She's an angel.

Blessings to all!

Home!

Hey there!

I'm so happy to be home from Tucson. Well, okay, I really do miss the SUNSHINE because I didn't get much of it, but my cat and I are happy to be reunited. :) The -20 we arrived to last night I could do without. Ahhh a good old fashioned Minnesota winter.

There are a few stones I had in my suitcase & carryon, so will be getting some pictures soon, as well as all the Tucson photo's. In the meantime I am working on new site stuff. Details to follow soon.

update

Okay, so someone emailed me saying they were reading the blog but they were totally confused about what Tucson actually IS.

The Tucson gem show is the biggest in the WORLD. Its 2 weeks long (some shows are shorter), and it consists of about 40+ "shows", where each show can range from just 10 vendors to 350 or 400 vendors. Most of them are at hotels where vendors set up in a hotel room (and they sometimes sleep there too) or in individual tents set up outside; some shows are strictly huge tents with vendors inside. The show are really a huge variety ... some are just beads, collector's stones/specimens, metaphysical fossils, pre-made gemstone jewelry and "high end" diamonds, etc used for the jewelry industry, bulk minerals and stones directly from miners from around the world who ship things here in huge barrels (on boats), etc. Not every show will have all of the above, but could be a mix. So there are a bunch of shows I have never been to and others I don't miss.

The majority of what I buy is in bulk, and I do indeed hand-pick everything energetically. I spend each day at 2 or 3 shows (or more) scoping out inventory, seeing what's hot and new, purchasing for my business. Its fascinating to look at everything (though as Kathy learned quickly you just have to scan and glance at rooms/tables, otherwise you'd be at one show for a whole day or longer!), but also to talk to people, to hear all the languages from around the world, to get ideas for my business, etc. And yes, the weather is great too. :) Tucson is a great city with great people, amazing views of the mountains and desert, but it does include more driving than I'm used to (there is only 1 north-south freeway on the western side of town, otherwise its all city streets, unlike home!). It takes more time to get around. Then I spend the evening eating at one of thousands of great restaraunts in Tucson (they have very few chains and are "known" for their amazing variety of restaraunts) and relaxing. Or as this week was, crashing by like 8 pm from exhaustion.

So I hope that helps explain! Its a blast for anyone interested in crystals, so it should be a bucket list item for people who like rocks and travelling. :)

Since I didn't have any energy each night this week as I'd hoped to get my online shop back up, I won't be getting new inventory on my NEW website until late next week or the following week. I hope to reopen my shop with at least basic stuff by Feb 22. Thanks for your patience!

Tucson Day Six

Just spent the night repacking stones and packing them into boxes and watching Lost. (OMG its getting so goooood again, they have a ghostbuster now for *some* reason!) We were up and out early this morning to go to 3 shows, including one bead show where I didn't buy a thing! The weather was finally warmer today, and I feel better, so it went by so fast.

Purchased:
Angelite angels
Sodalite sphere's
Covelite
Mangano Calcite
Purple Anhydrite sphere's
MOLDAVITE (tiny pieces, but still! cool!)
Dino POOP beads (yes really! LOL)
Black Tourmaline
Calcite sphere's
Chrysocolla
Pink Andean Opal sphere's
Green Fluorite
Rose Quartz "flames"
Probably more I can't think of! My arms hurt from heavy bags!

Pictures and a more full update about my trip will be coming .... ;)

Tucson Day Five

Well, despite feeling like crap, it ended up being a good day. I got drugs to dry up my nose, found a scarf to keep my neck warm, and had fun at a few rock shows and a bead show. This is short and sweet so I can go curl up in bed after my hot bath.

Purchases:
Selenite palm's
Charoite
Malachite
pewter beads

Much more is coming, really! And maybe I'll keep a few surprises! ;)

Here are a few photo's finally! The rainbow came after Kathy, my mom & I had been walking in the cold rain on Monday! It was the most beautifully vibrant rainbow I think I've seen, and a DOUBLE one at that!

Tucson Day Four

Ahhh yes ... life while travelling can be challenging when you are not feeling great. I have not felt great last night and today, just a stuffy head and cough, but its enough to just wear me out. After Kathy left this morning we went to Starr Pass, a fancy 5 star resort that has a "high end" gem/jewelry show that I can't even afford to breathe at, where we just walk through one hallway of vendors (and get pushed around by snotty New Yorker's with huge diamonds on every finger) just to get to a Starbuck's and an amazing veranda overlooking the mountain and Tucson. Soaked up the sun's warmth (its was only 50 today... brrrr....) for an hour, then went to a small ROCK show where I bought a few things, then came back to the hotel to crash for an hour. Had dinner, now I'm ready to crash again. I have been wanting to crawl into my own bed with my kitty, but I'm happy to be elsewhere for now too. Anyhow, tomorrow we are hitting a few beadshows, so hopefully my good night of sleep (with maybe a nyquil if I run across the street to evilCVS) will help me perk up tomorrow.

Oh today's purchases:
Natural Citrine from the Congo
Witches Fingers quartz!! (never before carried by me, very rare but fascinating!)

Pictures tomorrow, I PROMISE!!! :) Nighty night!

Tucson Day Three

Yeah I know its really day 4, but we were so exhausted last night I couldn't blog. It rained all day yesterday :( so we went shopping at Dillard's before heading to see AhhhMuse and 2 shows. Kathy got to meet Marilyn & Tohmas, John, Scott & Tammy at Maya Canyon, and see the more metaphysical part of the shows. We hung out in AhhhMuse for a while, bought a bunch of Maya Canyon, then when it finally stopped raining and the sun partially came out we went outside to the tents and another part of a show. We ended up walking down (a mile) to another show even though we were already exhausted, so by the time we got there Kathy & I went to see Crystal Tones singing bowls and then my taxi (dad) picked us up. Had a great dinner at El Charro. Watched a movie last night. Crashed by 9 pm.

Kathy leaves today at 11ish. Next year she is staying longer and we're bringing more friends. :)

Will post photo's later!

Purchased list:

Maya Canyon jewelry: black obsidian, amazonite, amethyst, lapis, rhodonite, and others I can't think of right now.

LOTS more left to buy!!

Tucson Day Two

Ahhhh rocks! We didn't get to any shows until about 1 pm, which just about killed to me wait almost 24 hours since arriving in Arizona. We ended up going to the De Grazia studio first this morning... he was an artist back in the 60's & 70's, my grandparents loved his work. While in one gallery I felt my grandpa come in so strongly I almost cried. It was a beautiful setting with a small chapel and a gallery surrounded by flowers and cacti. Nice. Anyhow, went to a fairly big show, bought some fun stuff, inducted Kathy into the Tucson Gem Show experience.

On the purchased list:
Selenite fairy towers, wands, sphere's
Indian Kyanite polished wands
Angelite polished wands
Selenite water polished wands
Azurite
snake stands
So there's day two! Oh and then we all went out for sushi during the super bowl. Yummm.....

Tucson Day One

Hi from Tucson!!!

This'll be brief, since we really only arrived in Tucson mid-afternoon today, connected with Kathy, got some water and food. Once we got settled in the hotel (super nicer than other years, but a little noisy so far) we drove up to the foothills to have dinner at AJ's (a fancy grocery store that we love that has a great deli) overlooking the city. Best view in town with a nice warm fire! Anyhow, we'll hit the gem shows tomorrow. The weather is wonderful, of course, since anything above 30 is warmer than home. It IS supposed to rain on Monday, just to make you all at home feel better. ;)

Keep checking back for updates each evening!!
